The PTT for Application Training Program

The PTT for application training program is for leaders and teams who need to boost their design skills and create learning outcomes that get tangible business results. Throughout the program you will use the content and advice to change how you design business-critical learning journeys. But it won’t just be academic, you’ll use the skills at every stage to create a new learning journey with the intention of rolling it out in your company. Your learning journey will put the learner at the heart of your design and include appropriate tactics for increasing application from x1 to x3. The PTT L&D Manager design program is delivered asynchronously with coaching support through the Promote Learning Platform.

The PTT for application training program has been set up for you to showcase your skills within in your organisation and elevate your status as a strategic learning and business partner. You will create ongoing learning journeys that senior stakeholders and managers recognise as adding real value to their missions. The upshot will be that you will not only deliver on the promise of learning but also become a trusted partner in the company.

Program content

The program includes 2 live coaching sessions with a PTT expert and an additional 3 coaching feedback touch points. Your coach will help you to understand how PTT can be applied to your learning journey and how that can be translated to L&D team performance improvements.

Offline you’ll work through the activities step by step, at your own pace. You will apply the learning directly to a learning journey to be used in your company or with your team. Your expert will give you timely feedback on activities through the Promote platform and ZOOM. We’ll support you throughout the learning process to make sure that you leave with a completed learning journey, ready to go live.

At each stage you will create a new asset that can be immediately used in your learning journey to showcase your personal achievements and create traction on your deliverables and timeline.

There are written and video resources. You’ll be given tools and templates to help with your future application of PTT. There will be opportunities to test your ideas with your PTT expert.

What you will learn and leave with

At the end of the PTT for application training program you leave with a learning journey ready to be developed and assets to showcase your efforts within your company. You’ll go through the following steps:

  • Learn about learning transfer and how it is applied to learning journeys and how it can maximise your outcomes
  • Describe PTT, what it is and how it’s used to senior stakeholder and managers to get approval and budget buy-in
  • Analyse your learning journeys for learning transfer problems that restrict workplace application
  • Create practical solutions to overcome learning transfer problems in the workplace
  • Design a learning journey with learning transfer capability that will increase application immediately
  • Translate learning concepts into business and workflow concepts using a completed marketing plan
